I noticed on one of the embroidery forums I was reading on that someone said NOT TO BUY the Ultimate 11 box. They give all the problems folks were having with it but now I can't remember what they were. Is this the Ultimate Plus box they're talking about or is it just Ult. 11?
What is the difference in the Embird and the Ultimate box?

:D I have the ultimate box and I've been nothing but happy with it. I can get as namy as 30 to 40 designs on a card. I use it in conjunction with embird. All I have to do is click on the ultimate box tab when I'm ready to write the design to the card. Embird is what you can work with your designs with , such adding text, splitting and resizing and the like. Have a great evening, Huggies, Fay

I think the problems most people are experienceing with the UB and Embird is the serial vs. usb ports...
Quote:
Only the USB version is supported by Embird. Serial port version is not supported, even if it is used with USB adapter.

UB comparison chart that might be helpful: http://www.vikant-emb.com/UltimateBoxComparison.htm. Be sure and read all the info on the website pertaining to thier other products...might find something there too to help understand everything.

EMBIRD: http://www.embird.com/index.htm

I have the Serial Ultimate Box and I love it! I've had it for a year now and never had the first problem with it. It's easy to work with and holds sooo many designs-much more than the other boxes. However, I don't know about the Ultimate Box Plus!
I've never seen a post where anyone was having problems with any Ultimate Boxes. Not trying to say they don't :) just never heard anyone complain about them.
Does anyone on this forum have a problem with there Ultimate Box?

I think you may be thinking of a post a year back on Sewingworld. The problem was in EMbird and has been corrected.
There was lots a false information in that post.
I haven't seen anything bad written aboout that box after that.
The Ultimate Box version II is the 2-slot box that can write more types of cards. It has nothing to do with serial/USB versions.
