asking questions

Post by KalieB »

I am wondering where I can post questions for advice about a project I am starting. I am not new to sewing but I am self taught and would like to gain knowledge from this forum.

Is there a place to introduce yourself?

Thanks

"General Chat" is always a good place for introductions. There's a topic at the top of "General Chat" called "Introductions, Please".

Welcome to SewForum!

What's the project you're working on?

I am sewing screen to create a cage for my sugar gliders. Also making purses that look oike regular hand bags but have the ability to carry them around inside safely. I need help finding a plastic(or rust proof) yet strong zipper that is 11 feet long. I would like it to be a double zipper.

I also just moved into a new house and sewing curtains, so I guess I have lots more than just one project. He screen is the one I am focusing on first.

Does anyone remember the "Printier" free alphabet that was on SewForum? I downloaded same and have lost same. There was also a free alphabet - I thought it was the same - but had a "swirly type"
of vine looking frame around the alphabet, if one wanted to use. I love this design, but found only 2 or 3 letters in my files. I always tried to keep Sew Forum free downloads in a file of their own,but this too has also been changed and/or lost. I got a new computer and didn't transfer everything even though I thought I had done same. mary
