I tested this with 2 pieces of well starched muslin sandwiching Warm and Natural batting and it stitched out well. I'll be using the test piece in some project or other but please test for yourself. Have fun!

5-6-11 Here's a link to a pic of the 6x10 grid used as the back for an ITH bag by Zippy (I just love her bags). I've mostly been floating the batting and top fabric over lightweight cutaway and taping the bottom fabric to the bottom of the hoop sandwiching the stabilizer. It takes care to match it up when putting the bag together but I like the results.
