I made this little cutie for the daughter of a man who my husband was acquainted with. He and his wife recently passed away suddenly and tragically leaving their 2 yr old without parents. I wanted something sweet and cheerful she could hug. The plush fits a 5x7 hoop and is in pes format, ver 3 and 6.

10. stitch to tack down
11. trim around hair without unhooping
12. satin stitch around hair

15. stitch ribbon placement line
16. place small loop of ribbon with raw edges 1/8" above placement line and loop centered over face
17. stitch to secure ribbon..
18. place second piece of fabric right side down covering entire design. stitch final outline

Any prayers or PT for the little girl are appreciated, police believe it was a domestic dispute and that her father shot her mother and then took his own life. The child was in the house but was unharmed. I'm really hoping she didn't see anything, but that is unlikely. I'm going to send her a blankie and some little toys.

What a sad story! I'm sure that your gifts will provide the little girl with some comfort. My daughter is almost 2, and she loves to cuddle and hug little dolls and stuffed animals. Thanks for the cute design! I plan to make my daughter one soon.

Thanks, Laura, for this lovely little doll. My prayers are with the little girl, also the grandparents and other relatives who must be devastated.

I have a quick question - I don't see in the instructions where the back piece is put down, but I'm thinking it's done between steps 17 and 18 (right sides together) - is this correct?
