search query

Post by Sheila in OZ »

I'm trying to do a search in the free projects forum for in the hoop things ...like the business card holder

Is there a way I can get the search box to look specifically for the words in the hoop at the moment everything I try just gives me hits for messages that have any of the words not necessarily keeping the words together

thanks

under the search words you enter there are two little circles choose the one that says search for all terms. That should help.

well if some one didn't put those words in when they posted the design it wont come up. I got about 7 pages worth when I tried the search.
also put in in-the-hoop and that will give you three more. Be sure to make the free designs as the forum you want it to search. let me know if you that works.

now thats interesting .. if you do in the hoop your get 345 hits ... if you put in in-the-hoop you get 113 hits the top hole and 3 with the bottom hole

I've only selected the free projects each time I've done a search

something isnt quite right here but I'm not sure what and I've never seen it where you use dashes to keep the words together. In google you use quote marks :)

I used dashes because that is how people write it some times. They call them "in-the-hoop" rather than "in the hoop". Just a embroidery thing I think.

You could probably write it all together and get some hits to inthehoop

oh there is an eyeglass case one too!
card holders...mothers day, fathers day and graduate
and that cute tea bag, looks like a swirly purse.

Hmmm sounds more like the setup is broken ...

if it was setup properly the search should have worked any chance whoever keeps the board up and running could have a look at it ?

thanks
