You're leaving a little bit out here. You bought a house in Florida? You live in Maryland. Are you going to move there when you and hubby retire?.......Congratulations!!! Do you still own your other house?

Oh I just read your other post and understand now.

Sorry I disappeared. We got cable etc then we had none, then we got it again, then we had none and they finally got it right Sunday afternoon by then we were home and I checked my AllBrands email last night but honestly was too tired to come here so will catch up tomorrow.
It was an interesting trip. The house was mighty dirty when we arrived-surprise! It took three days, professional rug cleaners and much scrubbing to make it clean enough to put furniture on and use.
But we left it looking much nicer than when we arrived and my son and his friend are very happy to be living there.
We have deer who occasionally wander thru and the canal (part of the drainage system of this planned town) was low but we saw egrets almost every day and lots of other birds, etc.
We are lucky to still have wooded lots beside us and across the canal from us but they are owned and will be developed eventually but most people seem to be leaving a nice bit of natural vegetation and trees on their property. It is foremost a retirement community-at least started out that way in the 70's but over the years is much larger and almost full service-you still have to drive 15miles to the nearest Sam's club but we now have Super Walmart and Super Target. When I lived there in the mid 90's the Walmart was just going in. We used to have to travel to Daytona or St Augustine for most of our shopping.
My husband and I look forward to having the house newly tiled, painted etc over the next few years and spending our golden years sitting on our lanai watching the birds fly by.
