Definitely a departure for me; I usually stick to very traditional patterns. I like it, though.

Traditional and scrappy are amoung the top favorites for me as well but this
one really is neat. I like the color choices. I think this is a great pattern for
the guys, a little more masculine than most quilt patterns. You did a beautiful
job on it. The little black accents and binding really set off the color of the blocks.
Nice work. Do you quilt your own quilts on your regular sewing machine?

Yep, I quilt all of my own quilts and usually use an old, cast iron Singer. I think they're great for free-motion work.

and what a wonderful "departure" it is!!!!

colors are magnificent.. and the work is superb.... these , that look simple can be a challenge to get looking nice and straight and crisp... you've done both....
