Try using another top thread, or a couple different ones. See if it's the thread. I have one spool my brand new Isadore won't cut either. :?

i have tried different threads and the same thing is happening. it tries to cut the tread but it aint cutting it. it is cutting sometimes but not all the time. i tried the design built into the machine i done a week ago and it cut everytime so i tried to sew that one again and sometimes it cuts and sometime it doesnt, i have looked at the bobbin case and looks in good condition. cheers libby

My guess is the cutters need adjusting. Call the shop where you got the machine from. :D

libby.I don't have the Innovis but I do have the babylocks and if a thread is caught in the cutter it won't cut the thread like it should. If you take the needle plate off you can see the cutter and see if there is a thread caught in the cutters. Be sure you have the presser foot up or turned off as the cutter could engage if you bump the button and it could cut your finger badly.Ask me how I know didn't get cut but scared me to dead.
Hope this helps. If you need pictures let me know and I'll see what I can do.

seems to have worked cloreta, i took the plate of as you suggested, could not see any thread cought, there was a little bit fluff there which i cleaned out but the bobbin case looked a little worn which i was supprized at because the machine had only done 64 thousand stitches when i bought it so i put the other one in to try hey it worked, and i have ordered a new bobbin case. thanks for all your suggestions. hopefully it will keep trimming. cheers libby
