How do you hoop koozies with the BMP6? Do you use a "sticky" hoop?

I use the hoopless method: hoop only the stabilizer; spray with 505 and lay the koozie on top.

I have found that I can hoop the sabilizer, then pin the koozie down using long dressmaker pins. I pin right on the edges, and it works beautifully.

I use water soluble ADHESIVE stabilizer. Worked great for me.

"GLAD Press N Seal" works as a stabalizer with koozies. Yes, that is the stuff you use to wrap around leftover food and put in the 'fridge. The koozie sticks to it, and then I just hoop the "GLAD Press N Seal." It is a lot cheaper than using stabilizer and works just as well.

The press and seal worked like a charm. I highly recommend it for hooping koozies. THANKS AGAIN! :D

Do you have fast frames or similar? Love, love, love 'em for koozies. I use sticky stabilizer on them. Then when I embroider a koozie and am left with a "hole", I just patch it by laying tearaway on top of the hole (I use black but white would be fine too). Even if I didn't have the fast frames, I'd still use this method with a regular hoop because the sticky keeps the koozie in place and I can use the same sticky for 10 or more koozies. No need for spray, pins, etc.

Happy Stitching!

I do the same thing as thriftymama with fast frames. It works like a charm.

No, I don't have the fast frames, but you should really try the Glad Press and Seal. It works very similar to the sticky stablizer, but it is better and a lot less expensive. I only hoop the press and seal once than I just patch the holes, much like you described. I LOVE IT. I have a couple sets of hoopless frames for my Esante in which I use the sticky stablizer, but for koozies I prefer the press and seal. I am sure a stablizer company will steal this idea and invent a similiar product once word leaks out. :D

I just use blue painters tape stuck to the back of my hoop and then stick the koozie on around the edges. Float a piece of stabilizer underneath. I also have forgotten to put a piece of stabilizer underneath and it worked just fine.
