Has anyone seen the TS at the Home Shopping Network?

I found that Singer posted extra clear info for it with this link below.

http://www.singerco.com/download/1262_F ... 0Chart.pdf

http://new.singerco.com/products/detail/2136

http://crafts-sewing.hsn.com/singer-fut ... 052|ct0053

Today it is : Singer® Futura Quartet 4-in-1 Sewing Machine Item: 965-959 I think it's the first time for 6x10 embroidery. I not sure but it comes with alot of extras and I noticed that the software should work with Windows 7. Is anyone ordering it to test drive one? I'm debating it in my head..... for the price... if it works? This machine might be a wonderful buy...lol

Yes
I was up late last night myself watching the new Futura
I was very impressed with what it can do
and how can you go wrong with all the extras?
Winding a bobbin seemed really easy, too.

I didn't get one, but my mouth was watering for it.
If I had the money, this is one that I would definitely order.

i almost purchased one then i realized that it has to be hooked up from laptop to embroider, so i am thinking of sticking to babylock or brother since i have all compatible software for them

I'm looking for a new machine and I have heard Singer has had a problem over the last few years with their quality. I love the looks of this Singer Quartert. Has anybody bought a singer lately and have they had a problem? I was leaning toward a Brother brand in general. :!:

that was one of my reservations too but i figured for that price it was not a bad deal at all. i have a laptop and netbook that i could connect to it. i did go back and forth and for a machine with that hoop size ur looking minimum at 2500.00 or more without software.

I decided to test drive one because of the no interest payments for 9 months if you have a HSN card . They said it had an extended time to return it for full credit if you didn't like it. I don't know if it will be worth the price? It looks like a huge improvement on the older Futura machines. I will have to see if it works as easy as they show on the tv. lol

Based on my experience with the Futura, I wouldn't have one. More bells and whistles. More to go wrong. And my Futura is about to take the 4th trip to the "hospital". Came back the last time in worse shape than it was when it left.

A Chinese company owns Singer now. They only bought it for the name. And they are totally destroying that good name.

those are my thoughts exactly~ test drive and if u don't like it just send it back. it does look like a huge improvement over what my friends own and they have just actually just ordered this one too. they were loving it like it was gold as they watched the presentation.

I decided to test drive because I have a Brother Innovis 2500D and my 19 year old daughter is using it as much as I do or more sometimes and I would love to have another 6x10 embroidery machine. The host said it took two years to put this machine on the market with a larger hoop size that slides on plus other extra's it might be worth test driving....lol

I would so love to have one of these!! I have a brother that only supports a 4x4 hoop. I would love to have one that has the bigger hoop, and i could return my grandmothers surger that i have borrowed from her. It just too darn clost to Christmas to spend money on myself :(

I received a Viking Iris a number of years ago and have been somewhat intimidated by how it works. The new Futura Quartet looks oddly easier to use than mine. Even if I use the Iris to it's fullest potential, I cannot buy any of the software anymore and am afraid that my machine is obsolete. I'm considering ordering the Singer from HSN, but want opinions.

I had the Singer Futura when I first started embroidering. However, I did not like having to have my laptop in order to embroider. At that time, it was all that I could afford. I did have some issues and had to have them addressed. I guess it was a good starter machine but............ I now am on my 2nd Brother machine. I'd never trade my Brother for anything else.

For those who made the purchase, good luck. I'm sure there are some changes and updates since I had my Singer 5 years ago.

Just my 2 cents for those who asked about the Singer. Mary

:P I hope everyone that purchased one will let us know if they are happy with their machine. I have the Futura CE-100 and yes I did have problems but they were user errors. I am very happy with my singer and would purchase again in a heart beat.

Would love to have the bigger hoop.

My singer takes several different formats hus, pes, sew and so many more. I watched the video clip and this should take just about every file format there is. Ever if you want a different file format that you have there is software out there to change it to what you want. Again post comments when you receive it and have had time to play.

I've been watching HSN since lase night off and on...trying to decide whether or not to order this Singer Futura Quartet. I finally talked myself into ordering it tonight and can't wait to get it! I used to sew a lot and crosstitch and embrodery but haven't in years since my old Singer of 24 years stopped working. And now that I'm older I find it hard to crosstitch since I now wear bifocals.

I can't WAIT to get back to sewing and with all the things that I can make with this machine, I'm planning on making a lot of christmas presents.

I will let you all know how it goes. It should arrive by november 1st.

I'm so glad I found this forum!

I loved my 'old Singer machines' I had a 301A which was the first slant needle to ever be made, I finally just plain wore it out....Then #2 for 30 yrs......Then added a Singer serger, which has died...I have 2 Craftmaster's now...a basic machine and serger (Janome). I would LOVE to have this machine IF it works well and I will wait to hear the reviews before I order one. Will be most interested....I really hope they are GOOD!!

I have the Futura 350 and I have a friend that bought a used 200. We both LOVE our machines! As to having to hook it to a laptop....this keeps you from worrying about ruining and onboard computer (I bought my Acer laptop new for $300. Even with the cost of the laptop and machine it was still much cheaper than any other machine). I find the software easy to use. I rarely feel the need for a larger hoop, but do think it would be a nice option. The only thing I see as a potential issue with the new machine, is that it appears that it comes with one very large hoop and one very small hoop. I really think this may be a problem for hooping onesies and toddler shirts. The small hoop looks smaller than the small one that I currently have. I use my small hoop for onesies and my larg (5x7ish) for toddler shirts. Otherwise, I say go for it! (BTW, my friend and I have had our machines for over 1 1/2 years and they've yet to go to the shop. I'm thinking of taking mine in just for a service just to make sure I'm taking good care of it. Also, HSNs machine is cheaper than the one I have and I found a GREAT deal on mine.)
