thank you Rose! I have opened the 'needle' category and in 'Organ brand' my problem is, i cant identify which one fits or the same with my broken one.. right now I still have Organ 90/14 with golden and flat head is this the ' regular point type needle'? i have to buy smaller ones...

thanks,

The last time I bought needles ,they didn't have what they call large eye .I would say that is the way to go.Yes for most of the embroidery i do ,i use 11 or 12 as far as needle size..Some people on here will say you need the ball point needles for knits ........For the most part i just use the sharp tip.It turns out fine .But....maybe what I do is not as delicate as what others do. It wasn't until I joined here did I hear about needing to use a different needle for different types of material. As far as the needle you have ,not sure as all mine are just plain silver. I have also used a regular needle not for embroidery .Depending on what i am doing it works ok also. Hope this helps you. When I first got my 770 machine I broke a needle first thing. irritating isn't it? Rosemary

You are very welcome.Yes,this machine does have its little quirks but once you learn what it likes it is not a bad machine .It stitches out as good as my Janomes. (9k and 10K). I agree ,i have learned so much from sew forum.Even after having 3 previous embroidery machines ,when i purchased the 770 i was on here asking questions. It is almost certain there is some one here who has an answer to your question.Or, made the same mistakes you have, like when you stitch a sleeve on to the shirt top when embroiderying .I still make "rejects" as i call them when things do not turn out so great.I have been embroidering for almost 14 years. :D :D Rosemary
