I have Embird and Iconizer and have used it for several years. I decided yesterday to download the trial version of PE Design Next. Today I uninstalled it, but the little purple flowers of that program show up when I open my Embroidery Designs file (it's in all the folders--if I open a folder they're not there, only when all the category folders are displayed do I see the flowers). I just uninstalled Embird (I have the latest version) and reinstalled it, restarted computer (several times), and just can't get rid of the purple flowers (PE Design Next has a purple flower that you click on in the upper right hand corner).

Anyone have any ideas???

Editing to say that I still see my designs when I open the individual folders, but the flowers are there when the main Embroidery Files folder is open.

Sorry, don't have Embird did do the trail one time, after that I had to set my files to open under my chosen program. Open your folder and right click on a design and a box will ask what you want to do tell it to open with Embird. I think that will fix your problem.Hope it helps.

Ragdoll, I had a similar problem recently and simply needed to adjust some of my default iconizer settings and associations. I found a helpful video on youtube. I'm at work right now so can't access Embird but if you google "youtube embird iconizer" you should be able to find a youtube video tutorial titled "Embird Iconizer on Windows 7 64 bit" that walks you through which default settings to choose (even if you don't have Windows 7).

Hope this helps. Will check back after work - hopefully your problem will be resolved by then!

I've tried everything (and loved the YouTube video), but the flowers are still there. They're only on the folders in my main Embroidery File (or Library), and when I click on a sub-folder in the main embroidery library, all the designs show up fine. It's just annoying that the flowers are there when I display all my category files. I did try something: I made a new folder (example Angels) and named it Angels 2. Then I opened the original Angels folder and copied all the designs and put them in new Angels 2 file. Deleted the original Angels and now the new Angels 2 file doesn't have the flower. But, I have just waaaaaayyyyyy too many folders and designs to do this. So I just may have to accept that I now have flowers.

You could email Embird (contact link is on home page) with the issue and they will help you. Actually, I believe there is a phone number to reach them, too.
