To help deter spammers some 'tweaking' is happening behind the scenes.
It has been reported that we need Forum suport showing without members being signed in.
More areas will be viewable soon. Once signed in of course all areas are showing.

What IE version are you using?
Maybe your security settings are set on high, default settings are usually medium.

If you were watching a topic and the topic is removed this would explain why the link no longer works.
One example - A free embrodiery link with a design no longer attached for download is removed when noticed.

This could be your security sytem, changing the extension.

If you are confident it is an embroidey download from a trusted site.
You could try altering the .efw to .zip and try that.

Sounds like the sender has removed it from their Outbox before you have read it.
Unlike Outlook Express etc. when using the private message option here, the sender can change their mind
about sending a PM if it is still in their Outbox.
It only moves to the Sentbox once it has been read.

You probably selected the option
Log me on automatically each visit: so then you have automatically entered the Sewforum.

Now your friend just needs to type
http://www.sewforum.com when she is home at her own PC
and then she will see where to join, by clicking on Register.

Good to be wary, it is not a good idea to give out or post your email address on any topics.
We do try and protect our members and regular members learn what to watch for, by reading the many informative posts
by Admin and members and not just come in for the freebies.
